Physical - Chemical Characterization

EV characterization is essential for defining the size, concentration, composition, and functional properties of extracellular vesicles. Comprehensive characterization ensures reproducibility, distinguishes EVs from other particles, and links their molecular cargo to biological effects. Accurate characterization is critical for both basic research and the development of EV-based diagnostics and therapeutics, providing a foundation for standardized, reliable, and translatable applications.

At HansaBioMed, we offer multi-faceted characterization of EVs that can aid researchers in developing a better understanding of their samples from physical and chemical aspects. Accordingly, we perform EV characterization by the following methods:

  • - Scattered and Fluorescence NTA: Characterization by Zetaview Evolution analyzer (Particle Metrix).
  • - Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and ImmunoEM (Microscope: Jeol JEM-1400)
  • - Immunoassays: ELISA high throughput marker screening, ideal for biomarker discovery, western blotting
  • - Enzymatic activity assays (Enolase, Acetylcholinestarase, carbonic anhydrase).
  • - Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS): Analysis by Zetasizer (Malvern).
  •
